Enable multiple checkout. You likely already have the project file checked out "exclusively", so you would have to detach from source control first, then rejoin.

I do agree that since VFP uses binary files, it's not perfect. But once you've played with it a little, it's not much of a big deal. But if you don't want to enable multiple checkouts, then I guess is becomes a big deal.
