You may want to take a look at Stonefield Database Toolkit (http://www.stonefield.com). It does the maintenance of your database, repair damaged tables and more. You can update the structure of your tables on your PC, send the metadata files to your clients and have the client software automatically update their database to match yours. You can't live without it once you used it once (no, I'm not an employee of Stonefield :)
