This is not directed at you Cathy, but just a general rant.
It annoys me that companies won't invest time in grooming new talent. They will give bonuses and other perks, but won't spend a month or two mentoring a new employee. The is no shortage of VFP programmers, if a company needs one, hire some bright kid of university and teach him/her VFP. Blamo... end of story.
