I have DB Maintenance Plan that performs a complete backup of a database every evening. It removes files older than 1 day because I am running out of space. The back up is failing because the old backup file is still there.


Is there a T-sql command/SP to delete a backup file which I can schedule as job before running my DB Maintenance Plan or is there a better solution other than get more memory?
