One caution, I remember reading somewhere that "monkeying" with what is happening during form instantiation can cause the instantiation order (LISAG - Load, Init, Show, Activate, Get) to fire in a different order. But this might have been justing setting the focus to one of the objects and not creating a new object. Drew Speedie had a note on this in one of his articles for FoxPro Advisor. I would say to go ahead and try it but if you get "funny" things happening, check out the article.
