>>>Has anyone found a tool that can be used from FPW 2.5 that would return the
>>>current network user name when logged in to a Windows NT network? I want to be able to use the user name as a basis for user-level security within my FPW application. If I could get this user name then I wouldn't have to have the user go through a login process just for my application.

>Thanks for the suggestion. Yes, I checked that out at the very beginning. That returns the "network name" of the computer not the person using the computer. I'm trying to get the login id specified when the user logged in to the network.

If you are logging in to an NT network, then the format should be Machinename # Username. You should be able to parse out the stuff after the #.
