I'm not sure what you are trying to do. Are you trying to build a dynamic FOR clause for one of the commands that accepts FOR clauses. Is so, my guess would be it would not work. The IIF() would be evaluated for the first record and the command would use that for the rest of the operation.

If you could provide some more detail of your goal, maybe there is another way to go about it.
