It is only in another subgroup as i wanted. I thought i had placed it in the printing FAQ series.

But if you have read the thread you'll see that the original idea isn't working for everyone.
I got it working with the NUL device on:
67% of Win2000Pro machines (2 out of 3)
100% of WinMe machines (3 out of 3)
0% of Win95 Machines (0 out of 1)
100% of W98 machines (1 out of 1)

I don't exactly now why this don't work for everyone.
I'm now searching in the knowledgebase and the msdn library but i can see that it should be a normal windows device. I also read about a bug in the old basic variants where they talk about drive:\DEV\NUL as a solution to a drive not ready error. Probably it works when we use it that way. That looks almost the same as the linux variant.
