I do not think the flag or symbol should be any part of a government [public sector] entity -- either on a State capitol, public school symbol, etc. However, there should be absolutely no government say-so about its use in the private sector. Remember, our Supreme Court has also upheld the right to burn the US flag. So, I do not see where State or Federal Gov't has much wiggle room to dictate any laws regarding flags.

In this country, while most people strive to be the best they can be, people are also free to be idiots.
