I added code to put the focus back on a command button each time the form is activated, and the C5 went away. I can make it come back by clicking in the grid, then closing the app from the menu. You can still get a "hanging" datasession, even if you've closed all the cursors/tables manually. After you've run your form, can you get access to the command window? If you can, enter the word "SET", and see if there are any datasesisons listed as "unknown".
