Tom,
I'll throw a little dust in the air... <g>
No, the flag is not racist - people are - typically liberals like the hypocrite Jesse Jackson who called New York "Hymietown", an obviously slanderous, racial and bigoted remark against Jews. Just like a lot of other issues you simply cannot say that because
some folks who live in areas that endorsed slavery that all folks who lived in those areas were.
Bad logic.
It's no one's business except each of the states IMO.
And, remember, it was the Democratic South while all this was happening. Seems to me that Democrats are the racists here, not Republicans. But the facts don't matter.....
Ohh. For those folks who have selective memories it was
Democrat Robert Byrd who was a Grand Dragon in the Ku Klux Klan. By your goofy logic shouldn't he resign from the Senate or are you going to march on his offices?
I doubt it since he's a liberal and liberalism trumps bigotry any day. Just like it trumps sexual assault (Clinton - WIlley) and lying (Clinton - Lewinsky - today's agreement against indictment and Clinton's admitting of the fact) and a whole host of other issues.
IMO all the folks who are yelling about this are doing so in order to raise money. It's not much more than a shakedown.
Best,
DD
