VFP 3.0, Win and Mac:
I have an app with a standard edit menu which includes CTRL+S as a "save" hot key. There are two forms, however that need to be modal. Because I want consistant "save" shortcut functionality, I tried to intercept the code in the THISFORM.KEYPRESS() event. Even though other keypresses execute, the code for the CTRL+S does not even run when it hit CTRL+S.

Two Questions:
1. If a menu (and its shortcut) is disabled , does it disable the shortcut key combination?

2. Is there a way to put short cut type hot keys on a menu that is not enabled or visible?
