I work with Stonefield Reports. During query building at certain times my application freezes.
When I run my application I've got a toolbar on screen.
When I want to build a filter expression with the query builder I click the button to signify that I want to build a query. That action disables all menu choices and all buttons on the toolbar are also disabled. This process makes a modal form appear on screen.
So far so good
Now I click the add button to construct that filter. This brings another modal form on screen. Up to this point ig goes well. Sometimes when I want to do an equal (this brings another modal form on screen) on a content of a field after I selected what I wanted as a content of that field the buttons on the toolbar become all available again and all the menu options too. Then my application freezes.
So now what the query form is not modal anymore?
The thing is that I can un-freeze it on clicking on a command button on the toolbar.
Here is what happens when I click the button on the toolbar. It activates the form for the button that I clicked and then I click the same button to remove the form from the screen.
Those actions un-freeze the window that was frozen. From that point I can continue using SFQuery.
Can you understand this?
Do you know a cure for what looks like a bug in vfp because there are times when what I just explained to you works very well.
Thanks!
