My app uses the MSMAPI control to inform headquarters of certain events.

This app is to be our first Citrix Winframe application.

Our network admin says he would prefer I used a control that makes use of SMTP directly to avoid the overhead associated with the MSMAPI control.

In addition he is concerned that we will have to set up additional user(s) on Exchange server if we use the MSMAPI control instead of an SMPT control.

Is he correct in his fears.

If so where can I find a control that makes use of SMTP directly without requiring that a mail client be installed for each session that runs under Citrix.
