>>Call me old fashioned ("You're old fashioned!"). Call me a traditionalist ("You're a traditionalist!"), but I've never gotten into the various cheese popcorns. My first preference is always butter. I think it goes back to when I was a kid. We lived about a half a block from a movie theatre. Right next door to the place was a "Karmel Korn" store. That place got me hooked.:-)

>There's a Karmel Korn store in our mall, believe it or not. I know what you mean, it's hard to walk past by without stopping. Want me to send you some? Seriously, I'd be glad to, if you can't get it where you are.

I don't think I've ever seen one down here. Frankly, I haven't thought to look when I'm up in Chicago. The stuff from PopcornWorld is pretty good (as long as you stay away from the cinammon). I might just take you up on your offer though. It's been years since I had anything from Karmel Korn.

>You might know about kettle corn, too. We first found out about it at the Covered Bridge Festival which is held in west central Indiana each fall. Kettle corn is carmel corn prepared outdoors in a big iron kettle over an open fire. The flavor is lighter than Karmel Korn, although I couldn't tell you exactly what they use to sweeten it. Anyway, it's a great treat.

Never heard of that. Fun thing, however, is that in Bartow County here there's a covered bridge and a Covered Bridge Festival (I think). I wonder if they'd have that sort of thing there. Wouldn't that be a coincidence?
