I'll try 'append from array' and then load the cursor to the Grid. I wonder what makes Grids so hard to update? They certainly look good in the form, but it seems like the type of thing where you have to throw more and more code at it to make it work... and there's always that last exception. Any improvements lurking in VFP7? Thanks again, Bill
