I tried instantiating the object right after the call to createobject but the same remains.
The EXE from the VFP environment runs fine and the EXE double clicked does not.

I checked the following, does it make any difference:

HOME() for EXE run from VFP = C:\VFP
HOME() for EXE Double Clicked = C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM


FULLPATH("") and CURDIR() in both cases shows the software directory
