>>Can I expect the Deleted Event of a grid to fire if the user just marks the record for deletion in a Grid? The table has buffering set to 5 that is the control source of the grid.

IMO, you're better off using command button on a toolbar or form that actually looks like something that could be Delete than that mysterious black box on the left. Or like the MultiSelect grid 1001 THings ... about VFP, looks pretty cool.

Never acts like I expect, is a pretty good statement. I have put code in the Deleted Event and have clicked the delete mark until my brain hurts and the method code does not ever fire.

The other programmers here have seen this also.

I do have another way the user can delete, but the mark is used as a visual clue that they have indeed deleted the record. But the experienced user will just check the mark on or off, then they call me and ask why the SAVE CANCEL buttons do not come on. That is what brought this hwole thing up.

Well I guess I will have to find a work around.

Thanks for the reply
