>Well I know that this will really set you off..... BECAUSE THAT IS THE WISH OF A MAJORITY OF THE CITIZENS IN THE STATE.

Ah yes, the state's rights argument. Something George W. felt so strongly about it, he went to a federal court. < g >

And if a majority of blacks and others decide to boycott your state, what is the problem? When this starts to hurt whites in the pocket book, watch how fast the symbol is removed from the flag. Principles are great, but they fall quickly to economics.

>Understand... I AM NOT saying that this makes it right but we do still live in a land of majority rule do we not?

Sure. If you want to seriously piss off approximately 17% of your population, you're free to do that. As they are free to spend there money elsewhere. Haven't you heard from the Republicans the serious recession we are already in? < g >

So where do you stand on the issue?

>If a vote were to be held in Ga today the flag as it is would pass by 80%

And if Atlanta is boycotted and people lose a lot of money, look for those numbers to quickly change.

>>>We are very quickly becomming a country ruled my its minorities. Be it race >>or sexual orientation, the radical left, or the radical right. Minorites rule.
>
>>No offense, but this is absurd. White males still run this country, without a doubt.
>
>Notice that I said..... becomming..... Of course if you look at things "as we speak" you are correct but anyone that does not see the rising infulence of all kinds of minority positions (not just race )in our every day life just does not have their eyes open.

Actually, you wrote "very quickly becomming". And you also wrote "Minorities rule". While minorities have a bigger voice today, it's still a white male dominated country.

>So then, I was really just trying to speak to what I see as a rising tide of infulence that minioity positions are getting.

Well, after 100+ years of slavery, another 100+ of discrimination, it's about time.

>P.s... no offense taken. Now if you start calling me names I just might come to KY and bop you on the head. < vbg >

Bring Doug Dodge along. He seems so well versed in the Southern way of life. < g >
