Despite Mike's dig < s >, here is how Canadians view themselves.

- multicultural: people are encouraged to keep their culture when they come here
- liberal: even the far right wing wants public healthcare
- internationalist: involved in world affairs via the UN and other orgs
- peacekeepers: our military is tiny, but what we have is used for UN missions
- nature: we are proud of our untamed wilderness

What bugs me is that Canada does have an economic speciality. We should do something like Japan with cars or high tech or more recently Finland with mobile technology. Hell, Ireland is doing extremely well.

One embarassing thing. Canada was admitted to the G7 only because the US insisted. They didn't want the organization to be too euro-centric.
