That about as cautionable as installing the Beta software itself! The Beta Discs include a Windows Componenet Update, for everyone, I recommend at least installing that.

The update will add things like MSXML3 which VFP7 probably uses internally. I doubt Steve enocutered problems like this because (AFAIK) he usually has the latest releases of that stuff. It also installs any service packs you might be behind on.
