You can do some research trough the Windows API. I know there are some samples in the Files Section on non-rectangular forms.

Also, I have WinAmp skins (and other software) that has features like what you want (holes, antennas, etc), and it is documented how to define that if you want to create a skin. Although this is something WinAmp does, it has to have some correlation in Windows API.

Is it easy? I wouldn't bet. But if you really need it...
