I had installed Norton Anti-Virus since the last time this worked. In case this helps anybody else out I shut off the part of NAV that scans office documents when opened by issuing the following: regsvr32 /U "C:\Program Files\Navnt\OfficeAV.dll"


>I get the error "Server Execution Failed" when I issue oWord =createobject("word.application") on my development machine. I was able to issue this command before on this same machine without the error. Word does exist in a path that have directories longer than 8 characters, but it always did...even when it worked before. This same command does work with Excel which belongs in the same directory structure.
