Need to format a pop-up list which consists of variable length last and first names, and I'd like them to line up nice and pretty in columns. with the the first letter of the first names lining up. I fooled with ALLTRIM and PADL() and PADR() but I think part of the problem is that they are in a variable width font, (like Ariel). What am I missing here... ? --- Larry
