The PerVMFiles setting is the one you're supposed to use. However, I think the maximum settable value is about 220, as Windows Me adds 32 to whatever you specify. If you specify 250, it might be ignoring it.

If the computer's CPU is faster than 300MHz or so, you may need to upgrade to FPW2.6 and apply the Microsoft patches for correct operation on high-speed computers.
