I have a menu pad that disables depending on the value of a Public variable. The only problem is that I get an error when firing up my app because until the user logs in, the variable doesn't exist.

Is there a way of delaying the Menus disabling until the user logs in - apart from writing a piece of code?

You could change the loading sequence (load your login form BEFORE you load your menu)
