I have a major client who has AOL. When I would e-mail application updates it could take the entire day before they got through due to system crashes at AOL. It would get near the end of the file and crash. The alternative was a long drive up into the Redwood Country near Santa Cruz (not a bad idea with good weather but the road has lots of 10 mile an hour turns and crazy drivers plus lumber trucks with huge Redwood trees taking up both lanes all too often). He got another account for work from another provider and it would take a few minutes to get the job done.
