There's an art to guessing what the questioner is trying to do. From what I know of Robert's applications I would also guess that he was working with VFP tables directly in his forms, rather than using a view of local or remote data, and that he was using text boxes and less likely to be using a grid.

Some of that comes from reading Robert's questions over several months, not just this one.
