FYI - My client has not had any problems since moving the database from the Windows 2000 server back to the NT server. Its been over a week now.

Does anyone out there have a large multi-user application (25+ users) sharing data on a Windows 2000 Server? Have you had any problems with perfornamce, crashing or files being left open on the server?

>Luckily most of my long-term clients haven't upgraded to Win2000 from NTServer. And I'm sure not going to push them - too many problems are coming up.

>>FYI - I've been working closely with the client for the last couple of days to try and resolve this problem. It now appears that they are having speed problems and crashing problems throught the application. They are also having problems with files being left open on the server. I found out today that they are having problems with other application files being left open on the server as well. The problem seems to be related to this. As soon as they start having speed problems or errors if we look on the server we find files that have been left open. This problem seems to have started when they switched from NT Server to Windows 2000 a couple months ago. The system has been in production for several years. They are going to try moving back to an NT Server.
