Hi Paul,

>Hi,

>I was in a similar position with my clients two years or so ago. Robert Green sent me some reassuring words that I passed on to my clients. We were using VFP 5.0 at that time. Basically Robert said that VFP 6.0 was in the beta and would be delivered soon. Which of course worked out.

>If I were to get the same buch of questions now, I will point out that VFP 7.0 is in beta now and will be out with Visual Studio 7.0. There is not a whole more to be said.

. . . other than the fact that .NET is making VB an EVEN DICIER proposition for the future than VFP is, by far.

Anyone doubting the future of VFP when considering future systems development can consider a 1.0 version of VB (for all intents and purposes) versus a 7.0 (4.0 in actuality) version of VFP.

Finally, even if VFP7 turns out to be the last, VFP has a long fruitful life ahead of it yet.

Cheers

JimN
