I don't see how the use of XML here does anything but complicate the issue. You could do the same thing much more easily with a simple HTTP GET. And since SP3, you don't even need ExecScript to do this.

What's more, your GET could just get the fxp, do a STRTOFILE and DO, and not mess with compile at runtime.
