>>You have posted nothing supporting forced segregation in the north:
>
>Ok... If you call eye witness experiantial evidence "nothing" then what is there to talk about?

I make a distinction between forced segregation and segregation. Your previous posts said something to the effect that it was forced, but you haven't provided anything to back it up.

Was this court ordered?
A group of community leaders?
The blacks wanted to go to your school, but were barred at the door?
They lived in the same school district as you, but went somewhere else?

And it happened quietly? How so? What, the press chose to ignore it? And when did this happen?

>>Is it possible that no blacks lived in your school district until then?
>
>Its obvious you don't know much about DC and the surrounding area. < s >
>There were huge areas of totally African Americans all around us so it was NOT possible. Again, I lived it Cris. Are you going to tell me I some how am deluded and just don't remember? What a load of crap.

No, I don't know much about DC, and that is why I asked. I don't know when this happened, but I imagine that DC was pretty similar to a lot of other cities: defacto segregation in where people lived. It is still pretty common here in Louisville. Most blacks live in the west end of town, while most whites live in the east end.

And even now, if it weren't for forced busing, schools in the west end would be overwhemingly black. Not be forced segregation, but by where they live.

>>And if they did, where did they go to school?
>All or mostly black schools.
>
>>Was there a separate school for blacks in Williamsburg?
>The SCHOOL was Williamsburg JR High Cris.... not the town. You really do need to learn how to read the facts and not be in such a hurry. As you have so loudly said to others.... FACTS.....FACTS......

Yeah, I missed that is was the name of the school, rather than the area. Wow. And you managed to not answer the question: was there a court ordered separate school for blacks?

>>And if this was forced integration, kind of strange that they only sent one, >isn't it?
>
>Well I don't know about that but I do know what I lived, where I lived, who lived all around me, what schools we went too and what schools they went to. Plain and simple FACT from someone that lived it. How you think you can counter that with absurd qustions is beyound me.

Hardly.

>>And what does this prove? I have never argued that racism does not exist in >the north.
>
>Sheesh... how obtuse can you get? It proves that racism is not WORSE only in the south... directly what you have argued. MLK himself said that the worst HE ever encountered was in the north. Again, in response to the question that racism is worse in the south. Of course you seem to not be able to accept first hand testimony of any sort so I guess there is really no need of tring to point out to you what is painfully obvious

Your example of MLK was one instance after a march in Chicago. Hardly a comdemnation by MLK of the entire north as opposed to the south.

And so far as racism in the south vs. the north, MLK wasn't marching in Chicago about poll taxes, literacy tests, etc. in the right to vote. I don't recall seeing any "Whites Only" signs in video of Chicago from the sixties. And I am pretty sure that Selma is in Alabama, not Illinois.
