Are you talking about the ratings labels on music CDs, etc? I do not really call that censorship because that does not prohibit the distribution of the CDs. I see no problem with being advised of the
age appropriateness a CD, video, or movie before allowing a child, teenager or young adult to view and/or listen to it without having to fork over $$ first.
I do, however, vehemently oppose banning [books, CDs, videos, etc]. A free and open market should decide such issues. If people quit buying CDs with vulgar language, violence, etc., then recording artists will quit making it. Same thing with Hollywood and film making, TV shows, etc. Goverment intervention will not work. Ratings are as far as gov't should go.
As long as the ratings standards are established and published, then that is all consumers should expect. The decision would then be that of the consumer.
