What is the make-up of your "group"? Are they end-users who need to create reports or are they developers who need to provide report solutions to end-users? Ellen Whitney commented that Crystal is hard for end users. Many people find that to be true at first. Crystal is a powerful reporting tool. But like most "powerful" software, there is a lot to learn to be truly proficient with it. I teach part-time ExecutTrain. The Crystal Reports Intro classes are usually eye-openers to people new to the product. In my experience, end users have difficulty because they don't understand databases in the first place. If your group consists of developers, get them some training for the use of the product, as well as the automation tools. For developers, the Developer Edition (Version 8) of Crystal is 'the' product to use if you're going with Crystal.

>Does anyone have any comments on Seagate's "Crystal Reports" software. Our group is considering using it or some kind of Report software, moving away from our FoxPro 6.0 hard coded reports. We are also looking for some good training classes for this software. Any suggestions, hints, ideas, etc. would be most appreciated!
