I don't know about classes but there are several good books out there...
AND...
IBM made an unfettered version of "VisualAge for Jave 3.0" available for a free download at their Linux site. I've installed both their WinXX version and their Linux version. Both versions have an IDENTICAL appearance and operate exactly the same way, except in Linux your directories don't being with "X:".
The same java source loads and compiles in both versions.
Very, very nice!
