>Seems to me that C# is the Java replacement. Without using the word JAVA!
Yep, check this out (straight outta Redmond), describing the new migration path from Java to .NET:
The centerpiece is a tool that converts Java into a new Microsoft language called C. (pronounced C-sharp) that it unveiled last year as a rival to Java.
“In the Web services world you’ve got to support a wide variety of languages. This is not an embrace of the Java platform. We don’t believe in the vision for Java,” Fitzgerald said.
I wanna know how much those dorks at GG get paid, seriously, I want in. Oh, and to top of the Anti-Java sentiment, the MS rep leaves us with this abotu Sun:
"The companies’ strategies are so divergent, it’s not worth getting intertwined. It’s now up to them to deliver on their promises and stop blaming us for their failures.”"
>From past writings I think the Gartner Group have their heads up one aonthers rears.
I'd laugh, but its actually too true to be funny.
