I 'm getting the following error message every time I place a set step on in my code or I try to run the vfp dbugger. The memory at reference memory (something) not found Memory could not be written.

It sounds like you have a corrupt setting for your debug environment. Try issuing a CLEAR DEBUG in the Command Window. This will reset all debugger settings back to factory defaults (e.g. window sizes, position, fonts, no breakpoints, etc.). It should correct the problem. After that, you can reconfigure the debugger with fonts, positions, etc..
