Yeah, a little bit side tracked from the original question. < g > But I was also pointing out that ALEN() will not tell you that an array is empty (0 elements) because if it's an array, that's not possible, or else it's not an array. The only 0 returned from ALEN is for option 2 and you pass it a single dimensioned array.
>On reading the question. it looks like russell has an array initialized. he just wants a quick way of checking the value of all of the elements in the array.
