First, you might try posting relevant definitions of constants if you want help; I doubt many peope recognize that you're attempting to send a WM_SYSCOMMAND with an 0xF102. You need to read up on the differences between Win2K and Win9x regarding GetFocus() and ReleaseCapture() at a minimum. Most of what you've posted here is complete distraction, an API declared and never ref'd, sevral constants that aren't described, a variable that determines whether a branch of code is executed whose value we don't know. This is an exercise in futility - Try the MSDN docs.

>DECLARE INTEGER GetFocus IN WIN32API
>DECLARE INTEGER ReleaseCapture IN WIN32API
>DECLARE LONG SendMessage IN user32.DLL AS SendMessage LONG, LONG, LONG, INTEGER
>DECLARE INTEGER FindWindow IN Win32API STRING, STRING
>
>#DEFINE WM_NCLBUTTONDOWN 161
>#DEFINE HTCAPTION 2

>bbhwnd=GETFOCUS()
>bb001A = 274
>bb001b = -4078
>
>If nButton = 1 Then
> bb=ReleaseCapture()
> bb=SendMessage(bbhwnd, bb001A, bb001B, 0)
>EndIf
