First, the MCDBA has 3 core exams: Win2KServer (70-215) SQL Admin (SQL7:70-028 SQL2K:70-228) SQL Implementation (SQL7:70-029 SQL2K:70-229) and 1 elective. I used the VFP Distributed exam (70-155) for that.
I prefer this track because all exams are a part of either MCSE and MCSD or both. (70-155 and 70-0x9 for MCSD and 70-215, 70-0x8 and 70-0x9 for MCSE) As for the costs, every exam cost $100 (DFL 211 excl VAT when I registered last month)
As for the examlocation, I would suggest that you take a look at the sites of prometric (http://www.prometric.com or http://www.2test.com) and VUE (http://www.vue.com) for the examlocations. I thought there is one in Zaandam so that would not be far away from you.
