Tom;

I think what you have described is not correct. I have two children - our son is 22 and our daughter is 20. I do not know how far you want to carry this but you may wish to talk to a lawyer.

There are events reported on the media where someone in a community reports someone else for a moral charge involving minors. Regardless of the reality of the issue the authorities like to over react - it is a part of their job - to serve the public (or is it themselves?). You are guilty until proven innocent in such cases. The part about the search bothers me, as well as confiscating the diary.

Now if your daughter or someone else makes a complaint of the type you described against the person who reported your daughter, what will the authorities do?

Tom
