>Basically, I have a form that creates an instance of an object, which instantiates some business objects that do the SCATTER NAME to create an object hierarchy that I can populate with XMLToObject. If I comment out my call to XMLToObject, my form closes and there are not any "Unknown" data sessions left out there. Once I do the XMLToObject again (which by the way, works great except for this problem) and close my form, I wind up with an "Unknown" session and tables left open. I'm not sure how I can whittle it down any more than that without digging into wwXML more thoroughly. Just glancing at some code, I did see some local object references declared but not being returned that also were not being explicitly released and/or nulled. In my experience, VFP does not always do the implicit garbage collection as you would expect it to in all cases. I did a search for wwXML here on the UT and found a message from Mike Helland I believe who also mentioned a datasession getting left out
>there after messing with wwXML, but I'm not sure he was thinking it was dangling references causing it either. The thread was titled THISFORM.RELEASE(), I believe.
>Anyway, thanks for the reply and I'll get back to you after I look further into it tomorrow.

Check out Thread #441354. I think that your problem probably is related to this bug...
