>My first conversation when I founf out about this was with the school official that was there during all of this so I have verified the facts. I have also gotten some initial legal advice and it seems as if they did have the righ to search her. So in reality, just on the word of ONE student, a student can be searched even if what they are looking for is not a lethal object.

The issue of parental notification, the male searching my daughter, and the taking of personal property AFTER the search had proved negative. I just may also have action against the parents of the student that told the lies.

>Elizabeth is doing ok. She took a lot of hard teasing today (this all took place this past Friday) and she had a couple of pretty tought moments. A rumor sprung up that the officials were about to take her in and make her submit to a drug test. She called me up scared and crying. I told her not to worry and called the school. I told them they were close enough to me owning the building with the mistakes they had already made and if they attempted to test her there would be hell to pay.
