That is a hard question. I do believe a person has a right to do what they want as long as it harms no one else. The key is causing no harm to someone else. If that is the basis, how can you find someone to sell you the drugs you want because the seller could be causing harm to the buyer. I guess you would have to grow or manufacture your own.

Can you truly say drug use does not harm others? Does harm include emotional pain/damage inflicted on friends and family? Should that type of harm matter?

For me, it would depend on what the legal definition of harm turned out to be.
