To be consistent, you should allow everyone regardless of age to use drugs. A new born baby will have no say in the matter so the babies mother should give her new born what ever drugs she feels are appropriate.

Your comments sound like something out of the 1960’s. You may not believe it but you may not be able to control what a drug does to your body. To me such a statement as yours expresses an anti social attitude and defines the individual as the most important member of society.

Do you have any concept of what drugs do to the individual as well as society? Have you ever seen a “crack” baby? Not a pleasant sight but then the mother was only expressing her “rights” as a crack head. Have you ever seen a person who O.D. or had a bad reaction to drugs? I have and I do not recommend it to anyone.

Drug addicts are a drain on society in many ways. Medical and social costs for such individuals are expensive and very real.

How about we get a big pen to but all the dope heads in and they can take whatever drug of choice they wish? If they want to O.D., fine – just let them lie there. They can never leave but they can have whatever drugs they want. That way we will have separated the drug users from society. The only cost to society will me to maintain the pen, supply drugs and burial expenses. No rehab baby. You get one choice to be a drug head and there is no turning back. Just think of the savings to society. No medical cost, prisions, etc.

If you want to take so called “recreational drugs” or something more serious go ahead. You may think your life and the life of any individual has no effect on society. Better think about the position of the individual within society.

Ingesting drugs does not make life easier to handle. Life can be hard enough without being on a “trip”.
