While I agree that it would be nice to have (I could have used them myself on a couple of occasions), I don't agree it should be part of a DB tool. What do arrays have to do with a database tool? Arrays are part of the programming environment not the database engine.
FWIW, it is my belief that the reasons we don't have them are because:
1. VFP memory management issues that limit other things (lack of structures, lack of callback implementation)
2. No one has really pushed for them. I haven't seen the request in any of the VFP Wish lists (I might be wrong on this though).
