>>>While on the subject of age, Mike is coming from an obviously selfish perspective. Isn't he about 18 or so? There is a reason the founding fathers framed our Constitution so that a person must be at least 35 to run for president. With most, age brings wisdom. It's a continual process of learning and the older you get the more you should know. Enlightening an 18 year old on that point is nearly impossible though. I know my dad went from being an absolute idiot when I was 16 to a genius when I hit 21. I am still amazed that I was able to teach him so much in those few short years!< VBG >

>>One thing I'd like to clarify: John said Mike's coming from an "obviously selfish perspective." I don't see Mike as a selfish kid -- far from it, as most kids his age aren't hanging out on technical forums giving excellent programming advice for free! But I do think that people in their late teens/early twenties tend to have more of a selfish attitude--as in a youthful ignorance <s>.

>Maybe selfish was a wrong word, self-centered or ego-centric. He is inside looking out. We've all been there. A local radio station had a billboard that said "Jail everyone over 30, what were we thinking?" Kinda sums it up, doesn't it?
*That's* the word I was looking for: ego-centric. Yep, we've ALL been there <G>. Boy, can I identify with that billboard! It does sum it up.
Oh, to be a youthful, ego-centric kid again! Just for an evening...<S>. Then back to having "wisdom," which I'm glad I'm working on obtaining (even if the age on my driver's license seems to give me more "wisdom" than I think I should have...)
