That was my brother, too--he was a real "red neck" into fast cars and fast women. Now happily married to an amazing woman, he's gotten his Master's (we didn't think he'd even live to get his Bachelor's!) and he's a Director at a start-up chip design firm. Instead of rebuilding old muscle cars, he's now driving Beamers and Porsches. Wisdom does *interesting* things to people!
