I don't agree with the author's values, either! When I was first out of college, I had a supervisor tell me that my weaknesses were that I was "young, single, female, and blond." (She was not young, single, or blond...) Hmm, I thought those were my *assets*! I changed jobs, and when I got married, I was told that being married would hurt my chances of promotion, and they told me the same thing after each child was born. So I changed jobs *again.*

I think I spend more time at work married, with children, because I want to better my position and enjoy my craft (trade, profession), and I understand more about how business is accomplished. When I was single and thought I was making money hand-over-fist, who NEEDED to work harder?! Besides, I get MUCH more done, with all this experience that I have, than rookies (including those people who have one year of experience 15 times) who haven't done it before and need to stay into the wee hours in the morning.

Let that author pass up on the good people who can diligently budget their time and work efficiently. I'll go work for the firms who really want my skills!
