We got to stop for several hours and I remember how friendly the people were and how clean the city was in 1960. I walked around the downtown area and found a Amateur Radio Store (one of my hobbies) and went inside and everyone in the store was very nice to a seventeen year old on his way to Orlando, Florida. It was April and the weather could not have been better.

Yeah, Memphis is actually a pretty good place to live. Nashville is even better. I think people in the south and the mountain west are generally more friendly than in other parts of the country. I'm sure the New Yorkers here will disagree.< G >
